TERASKASUARI.COM, MANOKWARI - Gubernur Dominggus Mandacan bersama pemuda dan berbagai elemen masyarakat Papua Barat "ikat komitmen" menjaga kedamaian Papua Barat dalam bingkai Negara Kesatuan Republik Indonesia (NKRI).
Komitmen itu terselenggara dalam Jalan Santai dan Deklarasi Papua Barat Damai yang melibatkan 500 peserta (warga) kota Manokwari, Kamis 4 September 2025.
Jalan Santai dan Deklarasi Papua Barat Damai diawali pengibaran bendera start oleh Gubernur Papua Barat Dominggus Mandacan melintasi jalan protokol dan finish di Panggung Golkar Jl Percetakan Negara Manokwari.

Acara Usai jalan santai, kegiatan dilanjutkan dengan menyanyikan lagu Indonesia Raya, doa bersama, laporan ketua panitia, serta sambutan dari Kepala Kesbangpol Kabupaten Manokwari mewakili Bupati Manokwari Hermus Indou.
Dalam kesempatan tersebut, Gubernur Papua Barat Dominggus Mandacan, menyampaikan apresiasi kepada pemuda, mahasiswa, dan seluruh masyarakat yang berpartisipasi dalam kegiatan ini.
Menurutnya, Papua Barat, khususnya Manokwari sebagai Kota Injil, harus selalu menjadi teladan dalam menjaga kerukunan antar suku, ras, dan agama.
"Hari ini kita nyatakan bersama bahwa Tanah Papua Barat, Manokwari, dan Indonesia adalah tanah damai. Menjaga kedamaian adalah tanggung jawab kita semua. Mari kita hidup rukun dan menjaga keamanan bersama-sama,” tegas Gubernur.
Puncak kegiatan ditandai dengan pembacaan Deklarasi Papua Barat Damai oleh Tuti Achmad Weripih (perwakilan perempuan Papua) yang berisi ikrar bersama seluruh elemen masyarakat untuk:
1. Setia dan taat pada NKRI berdasarkan Pancasila dan UUD 1945
2. Menolak segala bentuk provokasi, anarkisme, kekerasan, hoaks, dan ujaran kebencian
3. Mengutamakan dialog dan cara-cara damai dalam menyelesaikan perbedaan pendapat.
4. Mendukung TNI–Polri dalam menjaga keamanan dan menindak tegas pelaku gangguan kamtibmas.
5. Mengajak seluruh masyarakat untuk tidak mudah terprovokasi serta berperan aktif menciptakan lingkungan yang aman dan damai.
Setelah deklarasi, dilakukan penandatanganan pakta integritas oleh Gubernur Papua Barat bersama Forkopimda, serta penyerahan berita acara deklarasi dari perwakilan perempuan Papua kepada Gubernur.
Seluruh rangkaian kegiatan berlangsung dengan aman, tertib, dan kondusif. (red|TK)
